Back in May, we launched a new podcast at Maximum Fun called Primer. It’s a show that explores music from outside the English-speaking world. For the first season, we’ve joined host Christian Dueñas and co-host Yosuke Kitazawa on a deep-dive into Japanese City Pop.
Well, Primer is now in the final episodes of its inaugural season, and we’ve decided to close things out with a wrap party!
We’d love for everyone to join us on July 16th at the Gold Line in Los Angeles, CA for a very special “L.A. Night”—a free party where we’ll be celebrating the show’s first run and fundraising in efforts to secure a second season.
Plans for the night include…
- You’ll get to enjoy DJ sets from Primer guests Pearl & The Oysters (Stones Throw) and Mark “Frosty” McNeill (Dublab / LA Phil). Plus, co-host Yosuke will be spinning records as well!
- You’ll get a chance to win some cool prizes
- Host Christian Dueñas and the rest of the Primer crew will be there to say hello!
This is a free event, so no tickets or RSVP are necessary. We’ll be there from 8pm to 12am—please stop by at any time!
And if you can’t make it, you can still show your love for Primer to help get a second season made!
