Episode notes
This week: Isabelle Fuhrman! She’s an actor – maybe you know her from The Orphan – she played Esther, the title character. One of the most iconic genre roles of all time! She also played Clove in the Hunger Games, one of the biggest movie franchises of all time. Wow!
Isabelle breaks the Feeling Seen format a little bit this week – she talks with Jordan abut her newest movie, The Novice. It’s an intimate, intense drama about a University rowing team and her character’s journey to be the best at it. The film is also nominated for multiple Independent Spirit Awards – including best female lead for Isabelle!
Plus, before we go: we all love the Scream movies. It’s a timeless franchise. It’s been 10 years since the last installment and Jordan can’t wait for new 5th one later this year. Just one request: leave Sidney Prescott alone!

About the show
On Feeling Seen, writer and general enthusiast Jordan Crucchiola invites filmmakers, writers, comedians, and artists to discuss the movie characters that made them “feel seen.” It’s about that instant when a person connects to a piece of art so deeply that they see themselves reflected in it. Every week Jordan gabs it up with a guest about those magical moments when they were watching a film and realized, “That’s me!” It’s an informative, funny, and comforting show about our intimate relationship with movies, the impact they have on our lives, and how they influence our art.
