Jordan Morris is a longtime comedy writer, podcast host, and best friend of Bullseye’s Jesse Thorn. He created the Maximum Fun podcast Bubble with an accompanying graphic novel of the same name. He’s also co-host on the comedy podcast Jordan, Jesse, Go and an occasional guest host of this show.
His new graphic novel is called Youth Group. It’s about a teen who doesn’t really go to church and when she joins a church youth group, she learns something absolutely faith-shaking. Demons are real and they’re inhabiting the souls of everyday people! AND turns out: The youth group she joined is hellbent on exorcising those demons. It’s out now and illustrated by the talented Bowen McCurdy.
Jordan talks all about the graphic novel, his journey as a published writer, and the time he toilet papered his pastor’s house as a rambunctious youth. Plus, we recount a few memories from Jordan and Jesse’s college days.
