Wham Bam Pow

This week, we delve deeper into the Bat-iverse with Batman Returns, featuring the inimitable (but underused) Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman. Plus, we have an extra long catch-up session where everyone shares some recent celeb elbow-rubbing experiences.

Next week, we will be watching the original live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which is currently available on Netflix Watch Instant.

Geena Davis

Hey Guys,

Love the show! I was listening to a previous show where you discuss women in action movies. You were talking about Fargo, and how Frances actually gets to do things in the film and how they flipped roles a little having the husband being the emotional support for our hero. Ricky mentioned that sometimes when a new action film comes out featuring a female lead we sometimes forget to look back on the ones that have come before. That conversation got me thinking about Geena Davis, and specifically the film "The Long Kiss Goodnight." So it was uncanny to hear you guys talking about Geena Davis on this show. Mind Meld. I haven't seen this film in awhile, but I thought it would be great to hear your thoughts of how this film fits into that conversation. What they got right, what they got wrong and all the other great commentary you guys give.

Looking forward to more shows,
