It’s the final week of MaxFunDrive 2022!
MaxFunDrive 2022 ends on Friday, May 6–that’s the end of this week! Our little rocket is propelling its way through space with new, boosting, and upgrading memberships. If you’ve been waiting til the end of the Drive to become a member, now’s the time!
At the time of writing this, we have 7,531 new, boosting, and upgrading members! We’re so grateful to everyone who’s supported, helped spread the word, or has been supporting us over the years! Many shows are hitting their own goals and milestones and doing lots of fun stuff along the way. While we’re talking goals: getting to 10,000 new, boosting, and upgrading members will unlock a new two-part series about The Prisoner from John Hodgman and Elliott Kalan, following their excellent I, Claudius podcast.
We’ve been having so much fun with you all on social media, and we’d really appreciate if you continued tweeting about the #MaxFunDrive and maximumfun.org/join to help us get the word out during our last week.

Our special MaxFunDrive thank-you gifts are only available through Friday, May 6, so if you meant to become a member but just haven’t gotten around to it– go on and join while you’re thinking about it!
If you’re not able to swing a membership this year, we totally understand. There are a bunch of ways to help support that don’t cost a penny!
On the other hand, if it is in your budget and these shows bring you joy, please consider becoming a $5 monthly member. Direct, ongoing support from members is how hosts receive consistent income from their work, how MaxFun budgets for the year, how we are able to limit advertising, and how we can keep our shows free for everyone to enjoy. And if that good feeling isn’t enough, you also get 300+ hours of bonus content from all of our shows!
Plus, anyone who joins, boosts, or upgrades before the end of the Drive will be entered into a drawing to win a ticket to the final MaxFunCon, happening June 3 – 5.
Post-drive patch sale to support Trans Lifeline!
I’m sure you’ve all seen the superb patches that Maret Bondorew of Frog and Toad Press designed for us by now. Folks have been asking if we’re going to have a patch sale for charity after the Drive and the answer is yes! We used to tie our sale to meeting our goal, but in the past couple of years as the world got weirder and goals became harder to predict, we decided we didn’t want to risk our ability to raise money for charity. So our patch sale will start on May 9 and will run until May 20, 2022.
Folks at the $10 monthly level and above will have access to all of the patches from the Drive. We also have a special MaxFun network patch starring Nutsy the Squirrel that ALL members can purchase. We’ll send out some more info about how to access the sale to members at the end of the Drive.
Here’s the best part: all proceeds will go towards Trans Lifeline! Anytime is a good time to donate to Trans Lifeline, but this year it feels particularly important. Trans Lifeline is a nonprofit for the trans community, by the trans community. We’re grateful that with the support of the MaxFun community, we’ll be able to help Trans Lifeline connect trans folks to the support and resources they need to survive and thrive.
MaxFun gift memberships!
Did you know that we have an easy way for you to purchase gift memberships for your MaxFun-loving friends or family members? If you’re not in a place financially to start a membership, you can always drop hints that you’d like a gift membership! We have an easy way for folks to purchase them with a one-time payment. They just pick the monthly membership level they’d like to purchase, and we’ll do the rest to get things set up!
We also have generous people in the MaxFun community who are purchasing gift memberships for folks who might not be able to afford them. So far about 100 MaxFunsters have bought a membership for an anonymous MaxFunster from our waiting list! You can add your name to the waiting list–though we can’t guarantee you a membership, we try to match as many as we can!
MaxFunDrive Finale Hangout!
On May 6 at 5pm PT/8pm ET, we’ll be counting down to the end of the Drive on YouTube with some host-led Jackbox games featuring audience prompts!
