We donated $43,360 to support transgender rights!
Thanks to our generous members, we were able to donate $43,360 to Transgender Law Center–the largest national, trans-led organization working to set all people free.
Every year after MaxFunDrive, we run a big sale where members can purchase as many of the $10 level gifts as they’d like and we donate the proceeds to a charity. Since we started this sale in 2017, our members have helped us raise about $650,000 for thirteen different nonprofits!
This year, with transphobia rapidly on the rise and the current U.S. administration ramping up its attacks on trans people, all the workers at MaxFun collectively agreed to send this year’s proceeds to Transgender Law Center. TLC champions the right of all transgender and gender-nonconforming people to make their own choices and live freely, safely, and authentically—a mission everyone at MaxFun is in full support of!

Four new shows!
Reading Smut kicked off right around Valentine’s Day to answer all our burning questions about the world of erotica—like, why are readers so horny for faeries, and are doors… kind of sexy?
Walkin’ About strolled onto the network and took us around the block for some riveting conversations with guests like Lauren Lapkus, Janet Varney, and Jordan Morris.
RePhrasing: An Archer Rewatch Podcast brought its insider knowledge of the hit TV show to MaxFun, from the actors who voiced Archer and Cyril talking about hair transplants and Archer tattoos to the creator dishing on why he had to make the title character a little nicer.
The Young Old Derf Chronicles dove back into the world of fan-favorite improvised comedy Mission to Zyxx with an already award-winning spinoff! Join Young Old Derf on an epic (and epically hilarious) quest to find his own murderer.
Special guests galore!
- Our shows had some incredible guests this year! A non-exhaustive list of some standouts:
- Bullseye with Jesse Thorn had a fantastic roster of guests that included Mark Hamill, Questlove, and (my personal favorite drag artist) Jinkx Monsoon
- Sleeping with Celebrities brought us snooze-worthy (in a good way) episodes with guests like J. Kenji López-Alt, Roxane Gay, Paget Brewster, and Abigail Thorn
- On Judge John Hodgman, Nick Offerman weighed in on watermelons, wood finishes, and whether ketchup is good on French toast
- Go Fact Yourself had some fantastic matchups like Jennifer Tilly & Adam Savage, Thomas Jane & Grey DeLisle, and Jodie Sweetin & Marc Evan Jackson
- Jordan, Jesse, Go! welcomed back Jason Mantzoukas to talk his recent stint on Taskmaster
- Alan Tudyk came on Feeling Seen for a conversation about Young Frankenstein and Resident Alien
- Internet celebrity/actor/baking show superfan Brian David Gilbert co-hosted TV Chef Fantasy League for three great episodes
- Andor writer Tom Bissell came on Triple Click to talk about how he wrote the conclusion to one of the most acclaimed TV shows ever
- Dead Pilots Society brought on Riki Lindhome and Natasha Leggero for a table read of the pilot for their unproduced show Buffalo Tens, a wild comedy about two dating consultants in Buffalo, NY
🎉 2025 Highlight Reel 🎉
- Over 14,000 people joined, upgraded, or boosted during MaxFunDrive 2025! Thanks to our members’ support in 2025, we were able to bring on four new shows, get our recording studios fully equipped for video, and even move MaxFunHQ to a bigger, better office space!
- During MaxFunDrive 2025, 165 very generous MaxFunsters signed up to pay for a year of MaxFun membership for someone who couldn’t afford one! Thank you so much to everyone who paid for an anonymous gift membership (and if you wanna do the same, stay tuned for next MaxFunDrive!)
- Mission to Zyxx had an incredible year! Their spinoff The Young Old Derf Chronicles won Best Audio Fiction at the Tribeca Film Festival, and the creators were interviewed by The Verge
- Sound Heap with John-Luke Roberts was nominated for best comedy podcast at the British Podcast Awards
- Beef and Dairy Network celebrated their ten year beef-iversary and got a fantastic feature in The AV Club
- Eurovangelists took silver in the Best Music Podcast category at the Signal Awards!
Peek into MaxFunHQ
New office, new board members, and two years as a co-op!
MaxFunHQ had one heck of a busy year!
- Back in July, we celebrated two whole years as a worker-owned cooperative and welcomed in our first new worker-owner since the co-op was founded: Daniel Speer! Daniel primarily does video for Judge John Hodgman and Bullseye, but he’s helped with video for the entire network, including getting our studio set up for filming.
- Our Board of Directors—a group of five worker-owners elected by their peers—welcomed Christian Dueñas and Valerie Moffat as the newest members of the board!
- Perhaps most excitingly: we moved from our old home next to MacArthur Park into a shiny new office in Downtown LA! We’re still settling in, but here’s a little peek…
