Artisan comment

I sat down to write the best darn comment I can write after listening to episode 207. You see I am the type of person who listens to this around the house. Not to put to fine a point on it but I have that kind of time and yet taking the time to craft an actual response to something is paradoxically alien to me. Here is the crux; I wish to express my sincere and completely public thanks to all who craft this show. Greatness touched you some time back and I think I did not quite notice until now. Insert appropriate self denigration here as embarrassed reaction over having waxed slightly hyperbolic about a silly little show and have very merry day

Sad Tisdale in the news

Sadly, Tisdale is recently in the news again for a quadruple murder related to domestic violence.

hosting etiquette

i agree w/the judge, these people should not be hosting parties. it's like the saying goes, if you can't do something right, don't do it at all.

if a host cannot stay up for her own parties, she should not host a party. i have been in this situation as co-host and found it extremely frustrating and rude. i had to tell guest after guest that the co-host left the party and had to manage logistics at the end of the night w/o my co-host. it's like inviting people over for dinner and then only half-cooking your meal. like, "oh, here's spaghetti, but i was too tired to make the sauce." rude. sorry, anna, you are rude and should not start anything you don't intend to finish. just because you get the big, nice room in the house doesn't mean you're better than others and that your schedule is more important. you're selfish and self-serving and clearly not a host.

commenting etiquette

Yikes. That was a really rude comment. While I agree that most of the time, hosts shouldn't leave the party before it's ended, calling her "selfish and self-serving" is unnecessary. Maybe you need to check your etiquette handbook.

Tisdale was in the news

Tisdale was in the news yesterday - apparently they are have second thoughts on the motto, after 60 years.

Canola. So hot right now. Canola

Wow, what is going on with brassicas in my media sphere? Weirdly, there is an amazingly similar thread on the canola/rapeseed topic going on over at Talking Points Memo:

I'm a farmer. Most of the disputes I have with other humans are too horribly upsetting to be heard before the court, but I enjoy the fact that others can entertain amusing arguments and long-winded musings about vegetables and shop-vacs in a fake internet courtroom without it all turning to violence.

Keep up the good work, and f___ Moxie, already. Get some dirt, put it in a bucket, let that gentian root grow, make your own bitter and unrewarding beverage.
