We’re looking for a Winter 2024-2025 Production Fellow!

MaxFun is looking for an L.A.-based candidate to be our next Production Fellow! It’s a year-long, paid, full-time position with benefits designed for someone starting out in an audio career.

The position is a hybrid between remote and in-office, all under the guidance of seasoned MaxFun producers. Fellows gain experience in all aspects of production, including assisting with writing scripts, research, booking, engineering recordings, editing audio, getting material broadcast- and podcast-ready, writing content for our blog, and managing and curating social media for our shows.

Applicants should be curious, ready to learn, and have a strong interest in audio. Past Fellows have gone on to a variety of roles in audio at companies including Team Coco, Spoke Media, Dipsea, and Maximum Fun. Find out more and apply by Sunday, December 3. Please share this with anyone that you think might be interested!

Live shows… from your couch!

Can’t travel to an in-person MaxFun live show? Check out a few shows that you can watch from your couch!

  • If you missed Judge John Hodgman’s Van Freaks Roadshow tour, don’t worry! You can still watch a video of their Brooklyn show until the end of the month
  • The Flop House has one more Flop TV show coming up, and you can catch that plus watch recordings of past shows if you grab a season pass
  • The Adventure Zone just released the audio for a Hootenanny live show! Find it on the MaxFun website or in your podcatcher of choice

We’ll be back in a couple of weeks with our Year in Review—and (while it’s never our intention to brag) there’s another new show on the way that we think you’ll love! And please tag MaxFunHQ in pictures of any pie you’re making/eating/thinking about this holiday season. Maybe you listen to podcasts while you make pies? I don’t know, honestly, I just want to look at some pies. Thank you!
