The most wonderful time of the year is almost here! MaxFunDrive 2020 will start on March 16th and run through the 27th! If you’re not familiar with the MaxFunDrive, it’s our two-week pledge drive, and it features the best shows of the year and a big celebration of the MaxFun community. As you know, Maximum Fun is audience supported. That means that the majority of the money for our shows comes from folks like you who love our podcasts and hosts enough to pledge to contribute some of your hard-earned money every month. Be sure to catch up on your podcasts so you can listen to our MaxFunDrive episodes right when they come out! It’s a lot more fun that way!
MaxFun Meetup Day is Tuesday, March 24!
One of my favorite parts of the MaxFunDrive is MaxFun Meetup Day. I met one of my very good real life friends at a MaxFun Meetup Day before I worked here (HI SAM). This day brings together fun, local people (who may have not have otherwise met) in person, which is a pretty special thing. You should really try to attend one, even if you’re a little shy. It’s the best place to meet nice people, and you all already have something in common: you love MaxFun shows!
MaxFun Meetups are arranged by fans all over the world. If you’d like to arrange a meetup for your town, it’s super easy! Just pick a place near you that can fit a group, make a public Facebook event for your meetup, and email me, stacey@maximumfun.org, so I can add it to our huge list of meetups at maximumfun.org/meetups2020!
The MaxFunDrive Finale Show is Friday, March 27!
While you’ve got your calendar out, be sure to mark down that the big, exciting, star-studded livestreamed finale show will take place on March 27 from 4pm – 6pm PT. Last year, we hit our goal DURING the live show, and the energy was through the roof! Who knows what’ll happen this year, so start planning those watch parties!
