MaxFunCon

MaxFunCon 2022 will be held June 3-5, 2022 and we have a limited number of tickets available

Posted by Stacey Molski on 16th January 2022

For over a decade, MaxFunCon has been an incredible weekend of learning, connecting, and laughing with folks in the MaxFun community. And–if all goes according to plan — the last regularly scheduled MaxFunCon will take place in Lake Arrowhead from June 3rd to June 5th, 2022.

We had previously announced that MaxFunCon 2020 was going to be our last MaxFunCon and tickets sold out quickly. And, well, you know what happened next–we postponed the event indefinitely. A couple months ago, we decided we would hold MaxFunCon 2022 from June 3-5, and reached out to previous ticket holders to give them the first chance to get a spot.

At this point, we do have a very limited number of tickets remaining. To make them available to the maximum number of people, we’ll be opening our waitlist for tickets on January 23rd, at 5 pm PT, 8 pm ET. That will be your chance to be first-in-line to purchase tickets.

How it works:

The link you need to purchase tickets can be found at maxfuncon.com, but the waitlist will not be available until January 23rd at 5pm PT. When you sign up on the waitlist, you will be placed in line for a MaxFunCon ticket. Then, we will email as many folks as we have tickets available by going down the waitlist until we’re at capacity. We’ll start sending those emails out on Monday, January 24 but it will probably take a day or two to get to everyone. That email will include a link to purchase a ticket or start an installment plan and you’ll need to do one of those things within a few days after we reach out to you in order to secure your ticket.

COVID-19, rooming, and cancellation policies:

The details of our policies can be found at maxfuncon.com or below, so please be sure to read those and assess your comfort level as best you can. We only want to hold this event if we feel we can do it in a way that is as safe as possible for everyone, so we will continue to monitor the situation and will communicate any changes to you.

Times are weird, but we really hope that we’ll be able to have a wonderful time together on a mountain this summer!

Vaccination policy and COVID-19 protocol

Please review UCLA Lake Arrowhead Lodge’s COVID-19 policies. All staff are vaccinated and face masks are required. It’s worth noting that at the moment, meals will still be served buffet-style, though that may change in the coming months..

We’re committed to doing everything we can to ensure that MaxFunCon is a safe environment to have the creative gathering we know and love. So in addition to UCLA’s policies, ALL attendees, staff, guests, and talent will be required to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination (at least two weeks after final dose) prior to entry into MaxFunCon. Proof must be a photo of the front and back of your original vaccination card or a digital copy of your vaccination card. We will be collecting this information before the event. NOTE: A negative test result will NOT be accepted in lieu of proof of vaccination. Everyone must be fully vaccinated.

Please note that requirements and venue protocols are subject to change as the situation does. We will reach out to you with any changes to this policy.

Details regarding shared accommodations

Lodging at MaxFunCon is all in shared chalets. Some of the chalets include two bedrooms with doors that share a common area. Others are loft-style, with a bedroom downstairs and one upstairs, but all of the air space is open. Each room will have its own private bathroom, but you will have to be comfortable sharing living space with another attendee. If you know someone else attending, we recommend requesting to share a chalet with that person. Unfortunately due to the number of guests anticipated at this final MaxFunCon, we cannot accommodate requests to room by yourself. Please factor this information into your decision to make the choice that is comfortable to you.

Cancellation policy

Given the extenuating circumstances we’re all living in, we’ve changed our cancellation policy a bit to allow you more time. Up until May 2nd, you will be able to cancel your ticket and receive a full refund. After May 2nd, we will not be able to provide a refund*. We’ll be sure to send out a reminder email before this deadline in case your comfort level changes as the event nears. We just need to ensure that we have some time to resell cancelled tickets to try to recoup lost funds and make sure as many folks as safely possible have access to this event.

*If you have to cancel at the last minute due to feeling sick or an exposure to Covid-19, we will work something out!
