MaxFun Meetup Day- Virtual Style

Posted by April Pendergraft on 19th March 2020

Hey MaxFun Fans!

We at MaxFun HQ have been thinking about you a lot. Although we’re all stuck indoors, there are still plenty of ways to have fun online for MaxFun Meetup Day on Tuesday, March 24th.

Instead of hosting a physical MaxFun Meetup in your town, we encourage you to host online gatherings, via Google Hangouts, Skype, Discord, etc. This can be a great way to meet local friends online, so you can meet in person later.

If you are planning to host a MaxFun Meetup, email membership@maximumfun.org with the details, and we’ll add it to our Calendar. Don’t forget to post it in your local MaxFun social media groups!

If you’re looking for a virtual event to join, visit our Calendar or check out the list at the bottom of this post.

Below is a curated list of some ideas for you to enjoy together, remotely:

Play Games with MaxFun Friends!

Movie watch/chat party!

Coloring book pages

Visiting places online together:

This can be done via Google Hangouts Meet, with one person acting as presenter. With the webcam or virtual tour visible in a browser, you can share your screen by clicking “present now” in the lower right corner of the Google Hangouts screen.  You can have up to 150 chat participants in a chat meeting, or 25 video participants!

Host a Zoo viewing together!

Museums!

Gardens!

Parks!

Adventures!

Stuff to do on other days

Watch Live performances!

We are grateful to have the coolest, kindest, most enthusiastic community and feel like we’re all in this together. Even when we can’t be, you know, together.

Happy gathering!
