An odd subject for this blog, I know.

I have a very close friend (since we were 10) who’s been a baseball obsessive since I’ve known him. He worked for a bit in the front office of a baseball team during & after college, and now goes to a super, super fancy law school with an eye towards eventually returning to the front office of a baseball club after working in corporate law for a bit.

At some point, he developed an interest in betting on baseball, and has done really well for himself. I’m not surprised, because he’s a brilliant, careful guy, and he’s as keen a baseball analyst as I’ve ever known (and I was a member of an outfit called The Society for American Baseball Research for a while).
