The Young Old Derf Chronicles, the upcoming prequel series to the hit sci-fi comedy Mission to Zyxx, is an official selection on the audio track of the Tribeca Film Festival!
This eight-episode miniseries follows Young Old Derf on a ridiculous, action-packed quest to find his own murderer. Along with ne’er-do-well companion Shay and her court-ordered ethics anklet GOOD_E, Derf sets out across the galaxy in search of answers: What is the mystical power known as The Space? Who murdered him, and is that person cool? Does GOOD_E have some sort of “chill out” switch?
Tribeca Audio Official Selection alum, Ronald Young Jr. (Weight for It), will interview the creators behind Tribeca’s 2025 Official Selections in narrative audio. Video previews from these creators will punctuate a conversation that will explore how each of these audio pieces came to be, shared themes explored in these projects, and what is next for this group of audio artists.
